Book Tip - Waiting for Godot
A friend of mine saw my “read 100 books in 2008” goal, and suggested I should start off with her favorite book: Waiting for Godot, by Samuel Beckett. It’s now officially on my list. I’m ready for discussions over a cup of coffee (tea?) if I make it to Madrid some time in the near future.

The Razzmatazz 2007 Compilation
I got the Razzmatazz 2007 compilation from Ana, a friend of mine, today. I’m listening to it now and it awakes a few memories from 2007, which was an awesome year for me.  I started with New Year’s eve in Berlin, then Barcelona for three months, then Berlin for two months and finally, after three months working at home, Boston where I live now. I’ll try to post some songs from...

Get Me to the World on Time
Listening to some god old classics. If they could just start making music like this again the world would be a better place. It’s so much better than most of the new music I’m listening to right now. Why can’t artists hear the grass grow anymore or make sure they get to the world on time? Little Girl - Syndicate of Sound Lies - The Knickerbockers War or Hands of Time - The...

Deaclaring Bankruptcy: Songs By Favorite Bands
Shit. I started to post songs by my top 10 favorite bands, but I have been under-delivering persistently, so I declare bankruptcy on this one. Instead I’ll just post music I like more randomly. Including my top favorties. Here are a couple of songs from my current shuffle list: Out At The Pictures - Hot Chip Tour de France - Kraftwerk

Goal for 2008 - Read 100 Books
One of my goals for 2008 is now to read 100 books (not counting school books). I already had a few goals lined up for 08, but since I just read that George W. Bush reads 100 books a year this one has to be included. Starting today it should be about 3.4 days per book, or two a week. I’ll post as I finish each book.

Full-Lenght Tracks and Albums on Last.fm
Just read that Last.fm now offers free full-length tracks and albums. It doesn’t seem like all tracks are included so far, but it still makes Last.fm the biggest provider of free legal music online. At this point it’s available in the US, UK and Germany. Guess I have to call and close my Rhapsody subscription tomorrow. Things are definitely going in the right direction. Update: Or,...

The Album is Dead...
Different approaches to music. Kind of a classic. One approach to experiencing music is there. Triggering this reply by Daniel Stout: That idea works well for your approach to music where adding hit songs to one’s collection is like adding pearls to a necklace. Some people, I would include myself in this, feel that the album is greater than the sum of its parts. A song is a song, but an...
