Catching Up

I’m a big believer in throwing a lot information together to overwhelm and confuse myself to force my brain to work hard at making sense of it. To make that work in a productive way though, it’s obviously essential to put the right stuff together. Below is some of the stuff I’m trying to make sense of at the moment. A healthy mix of tools, predictions, work principles and encouragement.

The Golden Triangle

Brian Solis has an interesting discussion of the intersection between mobile, real time and social. It draws heavily on the original post on A VC, which has a great discussion in the comments section.

The Future of the Social Web

Another piece by Brian Solis. Quite a bit about data portability and its importance for the development of the social web, and the implications of that development.

World Building in a Crazy World

Epic piece by Jonathan Harris. An encouragement to build web services that are more human.

“Streams of Content, Limited Attention: The Flow of Information through Social Media”

Danah Boyd about living in streams and reaching flow from her talk at the Web 2.0 Expo in NYC.

Creative Commons: Enabling the next level of innovation

Joi Ito writes about Creative Commons and its importance for increasing the frequency and amplitude of innovation.
