Anti-Stealth and Service Development at NYLVI

There’s an interesting post up on the Path 101 blog about the benefits of being open for startups. Especially this caught my attention:

A startup can’t guarantee having the best product day one, but there’s no excuse for not trying to be the most knowledgeable and most insightful about the space and your audience. That doesn’t come from building in bunker removed from the light of day in stealth mode.

I think this pretty much describes how we think and feel at NYLVI. We have a clear vision of where we want to take the service, but with the resources available we initially have to prioritize pretty hard and leave out stuff we really would like to have in place from day one. However, we work hard at being open and try to talk and connect with as many people as possible. Hopefully this will enable us to innovate with the right balance between internal ideas and external input, leading to a service people will enjoy to use.
